Amy R. Marder, VMD (home)
Dr. Marder received her doctorate in veterinary medicine from the University
of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1979. After completing an internship
in small animal medicine and surgery, she practiced small animal medicine in
California for 5 years. Dr. Marder completed the very first residency in behavior
at the University of Pennsylvania. An accomplished author, Dr. Marder has written
two books and numerous articles. She is also a frequent lecturer to both veterinary
and lay audiences. Dr. Marder now holds the position of Director of the Behavioral
Service at the Animal Rescue League of Boston and is president of New England
Veterinary Behavior Associates. She is a past president of the American Veterinary
Society of Animal Behavior.

Jan Jeffers, DVM
Dr. Jan Jeffers completed her DVM studies at Tufts University. She also holds
a BS (Public Health) from UCLA and a
MS (Nutrition) from theUniversity of Massachusetts. After graduating Dr. Jeffers
studied neonatal foal metabolism in Newmarket, England. After returning to the
States she has practiced in clinical and behavioral medicine for dogs,

Lilan Hauser, DVM
Dr. Lilan Hauser comes to us after....years in practice both in regular veterinary
medicine and emergency care. Her strong interest in behavior began during her
years at Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine. While there, she completed
clinical behavioral medicine rotations both at Tufts and at the University of
California's Behavior Clinic. She has worked closely with our practice ever
since graduation through referrals and consultations. Dr. Hauser will see appointments
either in clients' homes or in our office.

J. Michelle Posage, DVM
Dr. Posage studied animal behavior and neurobiology at Michigan State University
where she received her Bachelor's degree in zoology. She continued on at Michigan
State University to obtain her doctorate in veterinary medicine. In cooperation
with the Humane Society, Dr. Posage has presented and published research to
assist animal shelter administrators and benefit homeless animals. She continues
to practice companion animal medicine in New Hampshire.

Martha Lindsay, DVM, MS
Dr. Martha Lindsay completed her DVM at Michigan State University and simultaneously
her Master of Science degree in Immunoparasitology in the Department of Public
Health. She then practiced for 20 years in clinical and behavioral medicine
for dogs, cats, birds, reptiles and small mammals. Dr. Lindsay is a member of
the Association of Avian Veterinarians. She wrote an Avian Care and Medicine
booklet for client education and developed a computerized informational handout
series on avian and exotic animal care.
